Inmates' Voices choir  is a musical creation of 60 minutes for 16 singers, mixing up classical, pop, jazz and experimental music.

Fascinated by the content of the letters that she received from her incarcerated penfriend, the young musician from Lausanne, Joséphine Maillefer, organized a unique concert. Through the association Lifespark, she suggested that the Death Row inmates write texts. In June 2013, eleven composers who had recently graduated from the Music School of Lausanne selected the texts that they wanted to put to music. They were instructed to write a 3 to 8 minute song for 8 singers, with electronic device, if they wished.

In 2013, a first tour was organized in the French speaking part of Switzerland. The tour was given a high media coverage and brought more than one thousand people together, touched by the humanity that came from the texts, the quality of the compositions and their sensitive interpretation.

In 2015, a second tour was organized as developed version of the first one. The choir was as twice as big and the singers were directed by a conductor. New compositions have been added to the repertoire and live electronic music was incorporated into the concert. The tour took place in the three main linguistic regions of Switzerland.
